First Implemented in April 2020, the International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) is an emergency support measure implemented by the Australian government to respond to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the Global Air Logistics Industry.
With IFAM's assistance, we have helped our export customers to keep moving high-value Australian products to international markets and provided critical import assistance for the importation of Rapid Antigen Tests, Masks, and other nationally important goods in support of Australia’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
With the IFAM coming to a close on the 30th of June 2022. Kuehne+Nagel Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and the unsung heroes who have worked day in and day out to help our Australian exporters recover from what has been an unprecedented 2 years.
