Back Kuehne+Nagel receives Australian Trusted Trader Accreditation

Kuehne + Nagel Australia is now an accredited Trusted Trader under the Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) Program, which recognises businesses for their secure supply chain and compliant trade practices.
  • Priority processing and treatment of goods at the border enabling expedited cargo movement
  • Origin advance ruling benefit which replaces the need for multiple conventional advance rulings
  • Faster processing and speed to overseas markets with mutual recognition arrangements with partner countries

As a Trusted Trader, Kuehne + Nagel’s customers who are also accredited Trusted Traders will be able to receive additional benefits such as Mutual Recognition Arrangements with various trading partners, duty deferral and consolidated cargo clearance. By becoming accredited, customers will also benefit from simplified customs processes and expedited flow of cargo movement through Australian borders.

The ATT program is a voluntary trade facilitation initiative that rewards accredited businesses with a range of trade facilitation benefits. ATT supports and facilitates the handling of shippers’ international supply chains by service providers.

Tim Fitzgerald, Assistant Secretary Trusted Trader and Trade Services said “We are pleased to welcome Kuehne + Nagel to ATT and excited for them to start receiving trade facilitation benefits that provide them and their customers a competitive edge and greater access to global markets.”

Björn Johansson, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Australia, states “We are proud to be awarded Trusted Trader status in recognition of our secure and compliant supply chain practices. Kuehne + Nagel is recognised as an Authorised Economic Operator, a similar program to ATT, in over 40 countries around the world. By becoming a Trusted Trader, we are able to better serve our customers in Australia and it also shows our continuous commitment to compliant trade practices. We encourage our customers and other businesses to consider becoming a Trusted Trader as it will simplify the overall customs processes given the constant increase in trade volumes at Australian ports and depots.”
